High Stars and Net-Rockers secured contrasting wins when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) First Division League continued on Wednesday at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) in Linden.
High Stars dismantled Blueberry Hill by a 3-0 score line. Veteran forward Tony ‘Spirit’ Adams opened the scoring compliments of a 13th minute strike. The score line then ballooned to 2-0 in the 26th minute as Marley Major etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.
The result was completed in the 42nd minute as Adams netted his second of the evening. Meanwhile, Net-Rockers overcame Amelia’s Ward Panthers by a 1-0 score line.
Denzil Pryce proved to be the difference on the night as he found the back of the net in the 18th minute.
Action in the tourney is slated to commence today at the same locale with another doubleheader. In the opening fixture at 18:30hrs, Topp XX tackles Botofago while Silver Shattas opposes Milerock at 20:30hrs.
