Andre Hardy, accused of stealing a quantity of articles from a woman he used to be romantically involved with, was yesterday granted bail by a city court after denying the charge.
Hardy, 35, was charged with stealing a Samsung smartphone, valued $60,000, a pair of blue jeans and four boxer shorts, which were the property of Jenny Henry.
Hardy pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He told the court that he had been in a relationship with the complainant, which was dissolved about a year ago and that since then he has not been able to get peace. He further stated that the two have several other matters pending before Magistrate Annette Singh.
Hardy was subsequently granted $15,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and the matter has been adjourned to March 21st.
