Topp XX and Silver Shattas secured lopsided wins over Botofago and Milerock respectively when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) First Division League continued on Friday.
Staged at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) in Linden, Topp XX crushed Botofago by a 4-0 score line. Keon Hall started the rout, breaking the deadlock through a fifth minute attempt.
Monty Simon then made it 2-0 as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 20th minute. The score line ballooned once more as veteran midfielder Travis Watterton netted in the 34th minute.
The result was then confirmed in the 42nd minute as Tyreek McAllister scored. Similarly, Silver Shattas rolled Milerock by a 2-0 margin. Delon McAllister broke the early deadlock compliments of a second minute conversion.
Damian Williams sealed the eventual outcome as he found the back of the net in the 36th minute. Action in the tourney is slated to continue on Wednesday at the same venue with another doubleheader from 18:30hrs.
