Net-rockers grounded Eagles by a 4-2 score line when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) 1st Division League continued on Wednesday at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground in Linden.
David Grey broke the deadlock for Eagles as he found the back of the net in the 32nd minute. However their lead only lasted for seven minutes as Carlos Blackman equalized.
Net-rockers then took the lead in the 55th minute as Shane Luckie etched his name on the scorer’s sheet. Similarly, their lead only lasted for the duration of five minutes as Keon McPherson scored.
With the score locked at 2-2, Randy Wills made his presence felt as he converted in the 78th minute. Net-rockers eventually put the match beyond the reach of Eagles as Luckie scored his second with an 86th minute attempt.
Meanwhile, in the other fixture, Milerock and Botofago battled to a 0-0 result. Action in the event is slated to continue today at the same venue with another doubleheader from 18:00hrs.
