The final group stage round in the 4th Annual Milo Schools u-20 Football Championship will continue today with three matches at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.
In the opening fixture at 12:30hrs, Carmel Secondary will oppose Christ Church while School of the Nations will face off with South Ruimveldt from 14:00hrs.
The final matchup of the day will pit the Bishops’ High against Central High from 15:30hrs. Action in the event continues tomorrow at the same venue.
In the opening fixture at 11:00hrs, former winners St. George’s, will oppose Tutorial High while Queenstown will lock horns with St. John’s College at 12:30hrs.
In the third fixture from 14:00hrs, Charlestown Secondary will oppose Freeburg Secondary while Mae’s Secondary will battle St. Rose’s High in the final fixture at 15:30hrs.
Upon the conclusion of the final round, the event will progress to the round of 16 stage. Winner of the event will walk away with the championship trophy and $500,000 towards a school project.
The second, third and fourth place finishers will receive $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 correspondingly towards the funding of a school initiative and the respective trophy.
