Agricola resident Rudival Azore, who was struck down by a vehicle a little over two weeks ago, succumbed at a city hospital on Friday morning and his family is seeking answers as to why the driver was never apprehended although there are doubts as to who exactly hit him.
Azore, 63, also known as ‘Tall boy,’ was struck down around 7.30 am on February 13 at the corner of Brutus Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara (EBD). He sustained injuries to his pelvis, his intestines had shifted and there were other minor injuries about his body. He was admitted at the St Joseph Mercy Hospital in a critical condition. However, on Thursday afternoon, he was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), where he took his last breath.
