The voir dire being conducted to determine the admissibility of a statement that police say was given by Daymeion Millington, one of the five accused in the robbery of Justice Nicola Pierre and her family, continued yesterday.
Millington, Nicholas Narine, Premnauth Samaroo, Warren McKenzie, and Anthony David are on trial for allegedly robbing the judge and her husband, Mohammed Chan, of cash and articles amounting to over $3.6 million, as well as shooting at security guard Ron Peters on July 9, 2015.
When the proceedings resumed yesterday, Sergeant Absola Flatts and Denaise Adams were both called to once again take the stand by special prosecutor Nigel Hughes.
In addition, a traffic officer, identified as Corporal Caleb, was unexpectedly called to the stand to testify after Millington identified him yesterday to the court.
The voir dire is due to continue on March 4.
