Friendship United created the biggest upset on the opening day of the East Bank Football Association/Ralph Green U-11 League, downing holders Herstelling Raiders 2-0 yesterday.
It was a dream debut for Friendship who are now playing competitively for the first time as they downed the champs at the Grove Community ground with goals from Shavi Atkinson.
The unlikely result started in the fifth minute as Atkinson netted from the penalty mark past opposing custodian Tyron Persaud.
The debutants sealed the historical win in the 23rd minute as Atkinson sealed his double, converting once more from the penalty mark.
