India today defeated the West Indies by 45 runs in their T20 World Cup warm-up match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
India scored 185 for 6 off their 20 overs and the West Indies were bowled out for 140 off 19.2 overs.
Rohit Sharma slammed 98 not out for India. Jerome Taylor took 2 for 26 and Sulieman Benn 2 for 30.
When the West Indies batted, Chris Gayle top scored with 20 and Andre Russell made 19. Pawan Negi, Ravindra Jadega and Hardik Pandya took two wickets apiece.
