Dear Editor,
Please allow me to respond to the letter in your paper of Friday, March 11 captioned ‘LBI-Better Hope NDC has not addressed a range of problems’. If Mr Mike Persaud is the same person who saw me when I was going to a cricket match that involved the Better Hope Cricket Club, and was asking a lot of questions about noise, music, drains, etc, I would like to state the following:
- That person was clearly aggressive in his attitude and in a very polite way, I tried not to respond to him.
- Noise nuisance is the responsibility of all, but it is the police that have to take the legal action in the event of breaches of the law.
- I am always in the community, and on many afternoons I am at the community centre with the youths. I am available to meet with anyone who can assist us in the community.
- I give my time freely to assist in the development of the community; can Mr Persaud come and assist us?
My mobile phone # is 624 3740 and he can call me any time between 6 am and 10 pm any day.
Yours faithfully,
Jagnarine Singh
