The ongoing Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Star Party Rentals/Trophy Stall first-division two-day competition continues this weekend with more intense competition bowling off around the city.
Over at the legendary Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Bourda ground, GCC will tackle the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) from 9:30hrs today while the University of Guyana team will battle GNIC in the Noble House Seafood second-division (two-day) competition, at Turkeyen from 11:00hrs.
Police will look to arrest the St Stanislaus College side at Eve Leary while the other matches to be contested are; Third Class CC versus Malteenoes Sports Club at Malteenoes, Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) against Ace Warriors at DCC ground and lastly, Everest Cricket Club squaring off against Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) at Everest.
Matches start at 11:00hrs.
Meanhile Devon Lord and Ronaldo AliMohammed starred in GCC’s win over Police as the left-hander grabbed a match-winning 5-fer while the Regional U17 skipper scored 124 last weekend. In another exciting match over at Malteenoes, GNIC beat GYO by an innings and 76 runs. The teams will look to bounce back from any hiccups they encountered last weekend.
