Parliament advertises for Director of Financial Intelligence Unit

A Director for the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is being sought.

The FIU is a key component of anti-money laundering legislation.

In an advertisement in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Appointments invited applications for suitably qualified persons. The advertisement came just a day after an International Monetary Fund team called for the speeding up of action on outstanding anti-money laundering steps.
