Dellon Henry, also known as ‘Nasty Man,’ who is accused of gunning down Dexter Griffith last year, has been called on to a lead a defence after a court found that a case has been made against him.
Henry is charged with murdering Griffith on September 29, 2015, at Warlock, East Ruimveldt.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, who is presiding over the preliminary inquiry into the charge, yesterday ruled that a prima facie case was made out against Henry in the charge of murder, due to the evidence that was presented by the prosecution.
Henry, who was overcome with emotion at the magistrate’s decision, said he was innocent of the crime and that an injustice was being done to him.
Although he declared that the jail cell was his only witness for him, he said he will be calling upon his mother to testify on his whereabouts on the night of the murder.
The inquiry was subsequently adjourned until April 5.
