Minibus driver Edmond Prescott, who was charged last April with trafficking marijuana, was on Tuesday found not guilty.
City magistrate Judy Latchman, who presided over his trial, stated that there was no evidence presented which indicated that Prescott was the only person who had access to the room where the narcotics were found.
She added that there was also no evidence that he had knowledge of the narcotics.
As a result, the magistrate found him not guilty of the offence and subsequently dismissed the case.
The charge against Prescott stated that on April 20, 2015, at Lot 214 Freeman Street, Georgetown, he had 21 grammes of cannabis in his possession for trafficking.
Prescott had also been jointly charged along with housewife Dawn Barclay with having possession of 300 grammes of cannabis for trafficking.
