Guyana Football Federation (GFF) President Wayne Forde has departed local shores yesterday to attend a Caribbean Football Union (CFU) forum to be held in the Dominica Republic.
According to sources close to the federation, the GFF Chief is purportedly scheduled to meet President of the Canadian Federation and CONCACAF Presidential aspirant Victor Motagliani to discuss several matters relating to the CFU region.
The sources further said that one of the main purpose of the trip is to secure support from the CONCACAF giant and 88th ranked Canada for an international friendly as well as other initiatives between the nations going forward.
If successful, this would be the first meeting of the countries. The sources further alleged that another aim of the forum is to push for Guyana’s representation on several committees within the CONCACAF confederation. Forde is set to return today.
