Samsung Craze: Guyanese are becoming used to relatively quick and easy access to the latest in telecommunications gadgetry. Just a matter of weeks after the launch of its Samsung Galaxy 7 cellular phone in several developed countries the internationally renowned company launched the device in Guyana through Starr Computers, one of the country’s best-known IT solutions service providers. At the launch earlier this week Starr General Manager Rehman Majeed said that that the S7 model possessed some important features that trumped its predecessor, the S6, including its water and dust resistance features and its memory card slot which allows customers to replace memory cards when they have reached their storage limit. Starr says it is happy with customer response . “Whether it is for business or personal use customers are now paying more attention to smart phones than to their tablets and laptops,” Majeed said.
