A Bachelor’s Adventure man was yesterday placed on $100,000 bail after he was charged with harming the mother of his child.
The Georgetown court of Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan heard that on March 19th, at Gordon Street, Kitty, Karran Goddard, 48, of Lot 1045 Bachelor’s Adventure, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Denise Little.
Before Goddard could plead to the charge, he told the magistrate that he would not be answering any questions until his lawyer arrived, which he never did.
Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones, who had no objections to bail, said that Goddard and Little have a child together. Jones also produced a medical certificate for Little upon the Chief Magistrate’s request.
A silent Goddard was eventually placed on bail and was ordered to return to court on April 19. He was also told by the Chief Magistrate not to go within 100 feet of Little until the matter is completed.
