John Joseph, 64, died during the wee hours of yesterday morning in the North West District of Region One after police say he was stabbed with the arrow he shot at a man.
Police, in a brief statement yesterday, said Joseph had intervened in an argument between a father and his son around 1.30am at Triangle Backdam, North West District.
Joseph, police said, shot the father in his chest with an arrow.
“The man pulled out the arrow and stabbed Joseph to his body with it,” police added.
Joseph was taken to the Baramita Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His assailant, who was treated, is currently in police custody.
