Weeks after retaining their Professional Cricket League (PCL) Regional
Four Day title, the Guyana Jaguars will resume training today with a fitness test at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground.
Assistant Coach Rayon Griffith yesterday confirmed that the two-time champs will indeed get back into their winning ways today when they undergo a series of fitness examinations among other cardiovascular regimen which will help Griffith and Head Coach Esaun Crandon to further assess the players. Guyana romped to their second consecutive title win after dominating the Regional four day format of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) 2015/16 senior season. Barring a few injuries which a couple players picked up during the competition, the Jaguars have so far proved to be a very fit team.
The Jaguars success over the past two seasons have been hugely credited to their fantastic weekly workout sessions which runs throughout the year, before and after the Professional cricket season has ended. Today’s physical assessment will commence at 9:00hrs.
