The tiny Guyanese diaspora in the UK has produced many famous sons and daughters. Some (including this writer) call them ‘The Guyanese Mafia’!
As part of the Guyana Gold 2016 celebrations in London, the diaspora will get the chance to meet and hear their famous on Wednesday 11th May at the Guyana High Commission in London.
Among those putting in an appearance- Ram John ‘Porkpie’ Holder, Trevor Phillips, Keith Waithe, Professor Cynthia Pine, Colleen Harris, Air Commodore David Case and (former) Ambassador David Dabydeen. The evening will be chaired by the new Guyana High Commissioner to London Hamley Case.
