(Trinidad Express) Finance Minister Colm Imbert yesterday announced a 15 per cent increase in the prices of super gasoline and diesel in his presentation of the government’s mid-year budget review in parliament.
The increases will result in consumers having to pay TT$3.58 per litre of super, which will end the subsidy on it, while diesel now cost TT$2.00 per litre and will still attract a TT$1 subsidy.
In his presentation, Imbert said these changes are to take place with immediate effect.
