When this newspaper visited the dead woman’s home yesterday, both of her parents broke down while being comforted by family members and friends.
On her Facebook page numerous condolence messages were posted as the news of her death spread. Some read: “R.I.P my friend can’t believe you gone!”, “RIP dear Lashana Moore u surely will be miss ……I’m still in shock….” and “OMG why as soon as I go on social media I gotta see the death of one of my friends? I can’t comprehend this news at all. Lashana Moore God knows best. RIP my friend.”
Her mother, Denise Moore said she last heard from Lashana on Friday morning when she called as customary. According to the woman, her daughter would go home every weekend and during the telephone conversation she told her to prepare her small sister since she would be taking her out for a walk tomorrow (Saturday).
However, unfortunately Moore never made it home. Her grieving mother recalled receiving a telephone call from her other daughter around 6 am yesterday informing her of the tragic incident.
She said she immediately rushed to the scene where she saw her daughter’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood. There was a gaping wound to the head.
Denise Moore said while she was unable to say where her daughter was heading at the time of her demise, she speculated that she might have been going to pick up her child from her great grandmother who resides in Grove, EBD.
Efforts to contact GDF for a comment proved futile.
Moore leaves to mourn her parents, child and three siblings. She was described as a very quiet and hardworking individual.
