Initially set to commence last weekend, the Wolf’s Memorial Challenge Cup
nationwide softball tournament, managed by the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association, bowls off this morning.
The tournament is being sponsored by Imran Hussain of Wolf Furniture World, and is being held in honour of Imran’s father Emaam Hussain, who passed away 21 years ago.
The Wolf’s Memorial Challenge Cup will be played in three categories,
male/female Open, and male Masters and a number of cash prizes are at stake.
The male matches will be 20 overs a side duration and the women, ten overs.
Today’s fixtures:- Carifesta Sports Complex: Pitch 1: 9:30am-Floodlights Masters vs Albion Masters. 12:30pm- Tropical Springs vs Albion Masters.
Pitch 2: 9:30am- Princess Hotel vs Untouchables. 12:30am- 4R Lioness vs Trophy Stall Angels. 2:30pm- Blue Divas vs Enterprise Divas.
Pitch 3: 9:30am- Wellman vs Savage Masters. 12:30pm- Speedboat vs Wolf Warriors.
