Kuru-Kururu Warriors recorded the biggest upset of the Stag Beer sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) First Division League, downing holders Grove Hi-Tech 2-0 yesterday.
Ryan Scott was the man of the hour as he recorded a first half brace to seal the unlikely victory. Scott silenced the home support at the Grove Community ground as he found the back of the net with only six minutes on the clock.
He then sealed his brace and the eventual score line compliments of a 30th minute conversion, in the process handing the hosts their first loss in the event.
Meanwhile, Soesdyke Falcons defeated Mocha Champs 3-2 to climb to the fourth position in the standings. Troy Johnson, Marvin Joseph and Collis Massiah scored for the winner in the 25th, 41st and 58th minutes respectively.
On target in the loss with a double in the 57th and 67th minute was Andell Anthony Action in the event is slated to continue at the same venue on Sunday April 17 with another doubleheader.
