Fiona Harris’ home going ceremony will be held tomorrow at the Church of the Nazarene, Kaikan Street, North Ruimveldt from 15:00hrs.
Harris, who was the first and only female president of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF), passed away last Sunday at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The mother of one, who was at the helm of the federation from 2010 to 2012, died after a brief illness. She would have been 38 on Friday.
Prior to the service, her remains will be at the Memorial Gardens Crematorium, Le Repentir, Princess Street and Louisa Row for viewing from 13:00hrs to 14:00hrs.
Note: Wake will be held tonight at 3278 Lamaha Place, South Ruimveldt Park (very last street on Aubrey Barker Road).
Immediately after news of her death broke, current President of the federation, Keavon Bess, stated that he was saddened by her passing, adding that Harris’ demise is “an extremely great loss to us and other associations and condolences are extended to her family and love ones.”
Harris will surely be missed by the sporting fraternity.
