A second man was yesterday charged with the murder of Crabwood Creek resident Shameer Ally, who was found dead in his house last October when police went to arrest him.
Basheer Harrinauth was charged with Ally’s murder when he appeared in a city court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
It is alleged that he murdered Ally on October 24, 2015, at Crabwood Creek.
The accused was not required to plead and was remanded to prison until May 4, when the case will be called at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court.
Ally, known as ‘Kazak,’ was found with a single gunshot wound and was lying in a pool of blood a few feet away from his door.
Another individual, Dennis Veerasammy, has already been charged with the crime and remanded to prison.
