The police have been granted court approval to further detain the five persons who are currently in custody over the killings of Mohamed and Jamilla Munir.
The Munirs were burnt to death in their Good Hope, East Bank Essequibo home on Sunday night.
Among those arrested for questioning are characters known to the police.
