Evergreen Ballers will oppose Agricola while King Street Ballers will tackle Harmony Ballers in the semi-final round of the GT Beer four-a-side football tourney today following respective quarterfinal wins on Friday.
Staged at the Aracari Resort in the West Demerara region, Evergreen Ballers fashioned the biggest upset to date as they edged national giants Sparta Boss 2-1 on penalty kicks after normal and extra time finished scoreless.
On the other hand, Agricola edged Crane 1-0 compliments of a ninth minute conversion. Meanwhile, King Street Ballers upset Pouderoyen Showstoppers 2-1 on sudden death kicks in marathon penalty shootout after normal and extra time finished 0-0.
Similarly, Harmony Ballers clinched their berth to the final four after edging Comfort Ballers 2-1 on penalty kicks after normal and extra time found the score locked 1-1. Harmony Ballers took the lead through third minute strike before Comfort Ballers equalised in the 15th minute.
