PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC-Former West Indies under-19 cricketer Yannic Cariah stole the spotlight with bat and ball to propel Queen’s Park to a convincing innings and 109 run win over Tableland in round four of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB) three-day competition on Saturday.
Cariah slammed an unbeaten century and grabbed five wickets as Queen’s Park recorded their fourth win in as many matches.
He hit 12 fours and three sixes on his way to 121 runs, the foundation to Queen’s Park’s mammoth 400 for six declared at the Queen’s Park Oval, after they had resumed the day on 252 for three.
Tableland was bowled out for 112 in the first innings and struggled again in their second innings to be dismissed for 179.
Cariah, now a T&T national player, would not stay out of the action snatching 5/59 in ten overs to end a memorable day for the former West Indies Under-19 cricketer.
