Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1700h. yesterday at Belmont, Mahaica, ECD, and which resulted in the death of five-month-old Randy Williams of Belmont.
The police say that initial investigations have revealed that the driver of a motor lorry was proceeding along an access road at Belmont, when it is alleged that an eight-year-old sibling who was pushing Williams in a stroller attempted to cross the road and the vehicle collided with the stroller.
Williams was pronounced dead on arrival at the GPHC.
The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
