Vice president of the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) Ricky Deonarain will lead a strong Floodlight XI against an Upper Corentyne XI Saturday in a T20 hardball encounter at the Demerara Cricket Club (GCC) Ground in Queenstown.
The Floodlight XI, winners of the Guyana Softball Cup 4 in 2014, the New York Independence Cup in 2015 and this year’s Florida Cup Masters Softball competition, will take on a strong Upper Corentyne team Saturday evening at the DCC Ground, Lance Gibbs Street, and Queenstown.
The match is being sponsored by the ever popular Ramesh Sunich proprietor of Trophy Stall and himself a vice president of the GFSCA.
The trophies for the match will be donated by Sunich.
Teams for the match, Floodlights squad: Ricky Deonarain (Captain), Anil Beharry, Reyaz Hussein, Khalid Baksh, Wayne Jones, Lalta Gainda, Surendra Nauth, Rakesh Arjune, Patrick Khan, Lloyd Rooplall, Romeo Deonarain, Richard Persaud, Rahaman Khan, Ramo Malone and Steve Naraine.
