The Pizza Hut Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) continued their unbeaten run in the inaugural Woodpecker Women’s hockey league, dismantling Old Fort Shooting Stars by a 6-0 score line on Monday at the GCC ground in Bourda.
The evergreen Tricia Fiedtkou led the assault with a brace while solo conversions came off the sticks of Kerensa Fernandes, Sonia Jardine, Sandy Roopnarine and Gabriella Xavier correspondingly.
With the win, the Bourda ladies climbed to 15 points. On the other hand, Old Fort Shooting Stars remain in the cellar position on zero points. Meanwhile, Hikers lay claim to the second position on six points while the National U-21s sit in the third position on as many points.
Action in the event is slated to continue on the weekend at the Saint Stanislaus College ground on Carifesta Avenue with the National Under-21s opposing the Hikers at 16:00hrs.
