The reopening of the Tower Hotel is set for May 14th.
Invitations to the event were distributed today. The establishment will now be called Tower Suites
The hotel was bought over late last year by S and S Mining Company, according to the Deeds Registry records.
One of the owners of the hotel, who only gave his name as Mr Khan, had told Stabroek News last year that the company had plans to open in time for New Year’s Day but could not commit to that given that many aspects of the construction were still being worked on. It was not able to open for New Year’s Day and questions were recently raised as to whether it would be open for the independence celebrations.
