It is my humble suggestion that GuyExpo 2016 should be held on the 20, 21, 22 May 2016.
Most overseas Guyanese, their friends, visitors, revelers and dignitaries will not come so early as the 13, 14, 15 May.
The GuyExpo organising committee should check with the airlines, hoteliers, and other relevant authorities in order to ascertain when the bulk of these people are booked to arrive.
It does not make comprehensive sense to hold such an expensive event for practically local Guyanese at this opportune time.
It is tantamount to looking at ourselves in the fairy tale mirror and saying “Oh beautiful Guyana”, which we already know.
The foreigners will come and see for themselves that beauty and are very likely to buy in and invest. Many have saved up their hard earned money to spend on this nationalistic event and have a rollicking time back home. Set up legitimate cambios on site. It will also be the event to attend thus raking in thousands of dollars.
Better still, the ideal time would have been on the 27, 28, 29 May but, by then, everybody will be still busy partying.
