Dear Editor,
I visited the NIS Records Section – Camp Street on Friday 22nd April 2016. I must commend the staff for their pleasant and helpful attitude towards me on this day. The idea to use a senior staff member to meet with the public and to direct persons to the relevant section was a good initiative. It took me less than 15 minutes to receive my statement of contribution.
There is an urgent need for the physical upgrade of the facility with an immediate consideration to set up a cubicle for persons to collect their records on the ground floor. Consideration should be given to the old, infirm and physically challenged as they have to climb several stairs to visit the records section of NIS – Camp Street.
Yours faithfully,
Karen Bacchus-Hinds
