Bartica declared town

Bartica was yesterday officially declared a capital town and President David Granger promised that all government buildings in the municipality will be powered by renewable energy by the end of his current term in office.

Teachers propose payment for marking SBAs

In a written submission to the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into the education system, several teachers of the Bishops’ High School are advocating for teachers to be paid to mark those School Based Assessments (SBAs) which are part of the requirement for the external examinations conducted by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).

Dear Editor, My comments about the coincidence of Correia being a dominant operator and shareholder at the Ogle Airport and the renaming of the airport to Correia could have more than one interpretation, and if one of those interpretations is deemed to be disrespectful to the President, I offer him my apologies.
