PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC-West Indies cricketer Narsingh Deonarine has scored an unbeaten century on the opening day of a premier division league match in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Guyanese all-rounder was 126 not out playing for Merry Boys against Clarke Road in round five action of the Premier One Division three day competition on Saturday.
His commanding innings propelled Merry Boys to 289 all out and in response Clarke Road closed the opening day on 27 without loss.
Deonarine, who has been in and out of the West Indies team since his test debut against South Africa in 2005, was supported by Kastri Singh (34), Philton Williams (28) and Javed Ramdhanie (26).
Deonarine last represented the West Indies in January last year, in a One Day International against South Africa.
