Uitvlugt Warriors and Den Amstel secured convincing wins when the Stag Beer West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) League continued on Sunday at the Den Amstel Community ground.
In the opening contest, Uitvlugt grounded Eagles 4-1. Kevon Duke, Jermaine Accra, Kelvis Fraser and Keon Duke in the 14th, 43rd, 48th and 67th minutes respectively.
Scoring in the loss was Alkebu Black in the 15th minute. Receiving red cards in the fixture were Keon Duke in the 80th minute while Seon Miller of Eagles was sent off one minute later.
With the result, Uitvlugt move onto three points while Eagles remain pointless. On the other hand, Den Amstel defeated Stewartville 3-1. Gavin Graham recorded a double in the 13th and 23rd minutes while Travis Hilliman scored in the 77th minute.
On target in the loss was Shelton Ford in the 37th minute. Due to the result, Den Amstel move onto three points while Stewartville remain on zero.
All matches will be played at Den Amstel Community Centre ground. Prize monies for the top four finishers will be announced shortly by the association.
