A woman was yesterday sentenced to two years in jail after being found guilty of having an illegal gun as well as ammunition.
Vanessa Frank, who was charged with having in her possession a firearm and ammunition without being a licensed firearm holder, was sentenced to two years on each of the two charges at the conclusion of her trial in Georgetown. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore also fined Frank $100,000 and $50,000 for the firearm charge and ammunition charge, respectively.
