The National Gallery of Art in collaboration with the Guyana National Museum, University of Guyana and St Joseph Mercy Hospital launched “From Colony to Nation” on Wednesday last, an exhibition celebrating Guyana’s 50th Independence Anniversary.
The exhibits include paintings, sculptures and photography showcasing the work of artists from both pre and post-independence.
The exhibition will run until July 30 at the gallery at Castellani House, Vlissengen Road. Opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Admission is free.
