The municipality of Georgetown on Monday received twenty bins from the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs.
Mayor of Georgetown, Patricia Chase-Green received the bins on behalf of the Georgetown Municipality.
Chase-Green said that the Council is grateful for the co-operation of the business community in the Council’s Solid Waste Management Programme.
The bins, according to a council release, would be placed at strategic locations in central Georgetown.
Chase-Green said that the Council has been working to restore the integrity of the environment and the gesture of the business community plays a significant role in helping the Council to achieve this objective.
