The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) yesterday said that it will be conducting a simulation exercise on Mass Casualty Management at D’urban Park tomorrow as part of the Commission’s preparation for Guyana’s 50 independence anniversary, GINA reported.
The public is advised to take note of this activity which will see the staging of ‘casualties’ at D’urban Park where the 50th Independence Flag raising ceremony will be held on the evening of May 25. Persons are therefore urged not to be alarmed.
A Venue Specific Mass Casualty Plan is being used to execute and coordinate the multi-agency approach to the events in and around D’urban Park on May 25 and 26, 2016.
