Dear Madam/Sir,
I noticed in a recent edition of your paper a very misleading article, which states that the Barabina road rehabiliatation has been completed. This is untrue. I was visiting the village on Sunday, May 22, and the road was is in a deplorable condition. Funnily enough two vehicles were stuck and had to be pulled out ‒ one by a tractor and the other by a pick-up.
The entire road in the Mabaruma Township and beyond is in a very bad state. The coalition government is taking the people for granted. We are been told one excuse after another. No efforts are being made to improve the lives of the people. The North West ferry comes every five weeks, promises were made but nothing has changed. We the residents are tired and frustrated with this government.
Yours faithfully,
