Fuel prices are going up from tomorrow.
A release today from the Guyana oil company said that acquisition costs for fuel have been going up.
From tomorrow in Georgetown, the retail price of gasoline will move from $170 per litre to $180 litre. Diesel’s retail price will go from $150 to $152 per litre and kerosene from $95 to $105.
The increases in Berbice and Essequibo will be similar.
The Guyoil press release said “The World market price for oil has demonstrated positive indications that there is an upward trend in the acquisition cost for fuel, which from all indications may continue its upward path. The Caribbean has not been insulated from this movement which was demonstrated recently by movement in acquisition cost from our suppliers in Trinidad.”
