Dear Editor,
I join with all Guyanese in condemning the act of terror with respect to the throwing of the grenade at the vehicle of Kaieteur News publisher, Glen Lall. The logical assumption is that the aim had to do with the investigative/activist role played by Kaieteur News in which case this would also be an attack on freedom of speech and on the right to keep the public informed. Thankfully, the grenade did not explode, but I join with all Guyanese in calling on the police to employ all at their disposal to get to the bottom of this dastardly act and bring the perpetrators to justice. And I join with others in strongly supporting Mr Lall and the Kaieteur News; both are sorely needed in Guyana.
