Secreasea purpurea commonly called Purple Heart originated in Mexico.
Purple Heart is a perennial plant with a striking foliage of delicate purple leaves with bright pink flowers.
Purple Heart can be used as ground cover in landscaping projects, or it can be planted in a hanging basket, from which it will cascade down nicely. It can also be set as a potted plant or strategically against a garden wall.
Purple Heart can also be mixed with other foliage to create an impact.
Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Pinch the tips of this plant to encourage bushing.
