The dispute over whether women dominoes players are better than their male counterparts was partially settled recently when Cody’s Girls defeated two male teams C7 and Robb Street Strikers.
Played at the Dynasty Sports Club the action packed affair saw Cody’s Girls winning a nail biting affair eking out the victory by a mere game.
The final scores were Cody’s Girls 67 games, C7, 66, and Robb Street Strikers 65.
Cody’s Girls won a trophy and cash incentives for their triumph courtesy of Neville Cadogan of the Dynasty Sports Club.
The main scorers for Cody’s girls were Rita Jaundoo and Desiree Alphonso with 14 games each. Marvin Thom `Blacks’ scored the maximum 18 games for C7 and he received support from Cadogan with 15 and Reuben Cato with 13 games. For Robb Street Strikers Phillip `Cesso’ Simon was the top marker with 17 games while Rudolph `Kiddo’ Bryan chipped in with 16.
Claire Benjamin of Cody’s Girls was the lone lovebird.
