Cordyline commonly called Red Dragon or Ti Plant originated in Australia, the Pacific and tropical America.
Cordyline has long sword-like leaves and varies in colour ranging from variegated green to pink to red and dark pink to red.
Cordyline is widely grown in the tropics. Some popular varieties include cultivars such as Cordyline terminalis whose leaves are dark red, hence it is referred to as Red Dragon. Other cultivars are: cv Cardinal stripe or cv Angusta rubra with mostly dark pink and red leaves.
