A youth who stole two passports and other items from a woman in the city last year, was yesterday jailed for four years after being found guilty of the crime.
Teon Williams was sentenced to four years in prison by Magistrate Faith McGusty for the robbery charge. According to the case against Williams, on September 15, 2015 at Saffon and Sussex streets, he robbed Verna Wilson Thom of two passports, along with cash and other items. The total value of all the items was $145,000.
After reviewing all the evidence that was led by Police Prosecutor Seon Blackman and by the defendant, the magistrate found Williams guilty of the offence.
