The much anticipated People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Congress has been set for December 16, 17 and 18 at the Cotton Field Secondary School on the Essequibo Coast.
General Secretary Clement Rohee made the announcement at the party’s weekly press conference yesterday, bringing an end to speculation that internal rifts would have led to a postponement.
The last PPP congress was held in Berbice in August, 2013 and according to the party’s constitution, one is due this year.
